Winter 2016-2017 Program Information

Dates:
November 21, 2016 – February 3, 2017. Spring season will start on Monday, February 6.
There will be no practice November 24–November 25 or December 19–January 2.

Practices: Monday-Friday: Mon.-Thurs, 3:15-6:15 p.m. Fri., 3:15-5:15 p.m.

Fees: $180 for the season, due by Monday November 21.  Pay online at Family ID or by check made payable to HNA Crew.

Location: Lake Union Crew - 2520 Westlake Avenue North, Seattle 98109.

Parking: There is ample free parking in front of the boathouse as well as to the north and south.  It is strongly recommended that vehicles back into parking stalls when possible to increase visibility when pulling out; the area is highly utilized by bikers, runners, and pedestrians.  For pick-up, please keep traffic lanes clear (i.e., do not stop, hover, wait for your daughter in the middle of the lot).

Parent Meeting: There is no parent meeting for Winter Crew.

Winter Events: Participation in Northwest Ergomania, an indoor erg competition, on Saturday, January 28, is highly encouraged.  This year’s event will take place at the Rainier Community Center (4600 38th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98118).
Participation in the USRowing Junior National Team Identification Camp is also a great opportunity to learn more about the Junior National Team (JNT) system and potentially be invited to participate in JNT summer camps. The ID Camp is a one-day event that usually occurs on a weekend in February, exact date TBA.

Eligibility: All winter participants must have learned to row during the summer or fall seasons. 100%-compliance on eligibility requirements (see form) must be met before rowers will be cleared to participate fully in practices. If your athlete participated in Fall Crew, only Family ID re-registration and payment are required.
