KIRO Radio Covers the Holy Names Academy Sisters

From its beginnings in 1880, Holy Names Academy was not only a school for young women (now Washington’s oldest continuously operating school), but also home to the founding Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary. For over 100 years, the Sisters kept detailed accounts of the school and the young city of Seattle in journals, aptly titled The Chronicles. Feliks Banel, KIRO Radio producer, host, and historian--and father of 2019 HNA graduate Sophia Banel-- stopped by the school early this summer to explore the new Holy Names Academy Heritage Center and The Chronicles.
