In keeping with its mission to serve young women of diverse backgrounds, HNA aims to create a community in which all students feel welcomed and encouraged to develop their interests and passions. Every year, Holy Names Academy hosts the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) Families Social, where BIPOC families join faculty, staff, administrators, and other BIPOC families to hear from BIPOC students about their experience at HNA; learn about HNA's DEIJ programming from Head of School Kim Dawson; meet HNA's DEI Coordinator, Indira Bahner; and enjoy food, laughter, and community connections.
HNA is a proud member of the Northwest Association of Independent Schools (NWAIS)/People of Color in Independent Schools (POCIS)/Diversity Equity Inclusion (DEI) Leaders in Catholic High Schools (Archdiocese of Seattle)/PNW DEI Practitioners Think Tank.
