Farewell to the Class of 2022!

Last weekend, Class of 2022 graduates and their families enjoyed a beautiful Commencement at Benaroya Hall. The ceremony opened with an invocation from Cindy Lohman ’80, President of our Board of Trustees. Tracy Hilliard ’95, Director of the Center for Culturally Responsive Engagement at the Michigan Public Health Institute, gave an inspiring talk, as did student speakers Minda Chen and Yumi Park-Davis. The final Blessing was offered by Parent Board President Jennifer Roberts and her husband, Christopher. We will miss all the wonderful young women in this accomplished and compassionate class.

Members of the Class of 2022 were accepted to 238 different colleges and universities, from which the graduates have chosen to attend 94. To date, 81% of the class have collectively earned over $39.6 million dollars in merit scholarships. Many students earned multiple scholarships at several universities. Significantly, over $7.8 million will actually be used to fund their college tuition.
