HNA Crew Partners with Lake Washington Rowing Club
Fall 2018 marked an exciting time for Holy Names Academy's nationally ranked crew program: the team moved to a new location on North Lake Union. HNA Crew is excited to be partnering with Lake Washington Rowing Club to, which will serve as the Cougars' new home boathouse. The boathouse is conveniently located at the base of the Aurora Bridge and west of the iconic Gas Works Park.
This opportunity has allowed HNA to enhance the crew program and the athletes’ overall experience with more rack space for rowing shells and dedicated space for HNA's program. Holy Names Academy Crew was established in 1993 and hundreds of young women has been through the program. At the 2019 USRowing National Championships, the HNA Varsity 8+ took third place, the Varsity Lightweight 4+ took 2nd, and the Varsity 4x took 16th. The team was also awarded the Women's Overall Point Trophy at the 2019 Northwest Regionals after nine 1st places, eight 2nds, and three 3rds.
